Thank you for another great week on Etna – here is your special ERUPTION UPDATE from Mat + Niki !!
“At least two vents in the ‘Bottoniera’ are producing nice strombolian explosions and a good lava river which now reaches ‘Mt. Simone’.
The strombolian explosions can be seen from the foot of ‘SUD EST’ – CARE as they are quite violent and random. You can not see the lava river from there, the best view is to climb from ‘Rif. Citelli’ to the ‘Serra Delle Concazze’ and on to the ridge overlooking the ‘Valle del Bove’.
The view from here is fantastic 🙂
